MARK IS YOUR NEIGHBOUR
He lives in Ward Two, and there are a number of issues that he hears from you at the door:
Taxation deserves better communication
I have a demonstrated record of strategic fiscal spending and transparent communication on large infrastructure priorities and projects.
The ongoing congestion created by the concurrent projects at St. Paul’s Ave and the Paris Road bridge demonstrates the need for an experienced and pro-active Councillor to advocate for strategic infrastructure projects without waiting for failures to occur.
Waterfront Master Plan
The 2010 report needs a renewed focus on our trails and additional tourism opportunities to protect and best utilize this key natural resourace to our City. We need to activate the plan to protect our drinking water, prevent flooding, and improve safe access to the river, which forms a part of the Ward 2 boundary.
Downtown is an evolving destination for events, food services, andeducation. It deserves the focus of an experienced Council to complete the southside & drive additional housing and businesses to support growth.
Lead Pipe replacement Program
The 2008 lead pipe replacement program has been stagnant in the past two Council terms. A large number of older homes in Ward 2 will benefit from improved access to this program. I will lead changes to increase awareness and improve the safety of our drinking water.
These are some of my thoughts. What are yours?
